Rey, the truth is that both men invented a fluorescent lamp, however, Edmund Germer was first and much more significant. And to make things even more complicated, a fluorescent lamp is a type of mercury vapor lamp and the history of mercury vapor lamps predates Germer. Read my History of Fluorescent Lights

Agapito Flores was the rel inventor of the fluorescent lamp but only he forgot to officialy claim it as his. When an idiot knew this he claimed it as his. And this is why some poeple say that he didin’t invent it even though it was really him.
In the Philippine list of Inventors, 2 names are familiar (1) Agapito Flores invented the Fluorescent lamp during the Commonweath Era when Phil was a territory of USA. Flores sold his right to GE but GE in Flores honor called the lamp Florescent lamp and later to Fluorescent Lamp. Another is Armando Lite. He invented the famous ARMALITE GUN which is AKA AK47.

In Germer’s part, Ive noticed that they were created in a duely process. These states that this was not yet known or had been used for such at that time.
Early 19th century when electricity was comformed useful due to gaining technology, but was these lamp invented in a cylinder shape and it connectedly assemble without wasting time?
I preferably believe that AGAPITO FLORES created the lamp…that is fluorescent…bear from his name
