The concept behind neon signs was first conceived in 1675, when the French astronomer Jean Picard observed a faint glow in a mercury barometer tube. When the tube was shaken a glow called barometric light occurred, but the cause of the light (static electricity) was not then understood. (See Also: Neon Gallery)

Seems interesting. neon. ( I ve struck again!)
i am confused.. if neon was discovered in 1898 then how was a neon sign thought of in 1675??? those dates dont make sense to me.
only the concept neon signs were based off of was thought of in 1675, not them. the idea could be attempted with most gasses/liquids (the mercury in the tube for example)
You Guys awre really nerdy who tha fucc argues about some neon origin??? u Are extremly GAY!!!! GET A LIFE U BUTTLICK!!!
