And A Special Thanks Goes To

Monday May 16, 2005
...all my readers who share their expertise, provide great suggestions, and give the "heads up" on any inaccuracies. This week I would like to thank the following people:
  • Stephen Feber for letting me know that I did not have a correct image of the power loom.
  • Althea Burger for asking the question, "Who invented children's chewable vitamins?" Althea, I do have a section on the History of Vitamins, however, I do not have an answer for you. Does anybody out there know? Althea did pass along this interesting factoid that Bayer Health Care said their chewable vitamins were invented in 1960 and first called CHOCKS and later renamed Flintstones in 1968. BTW Betty was added as a Flintstones vitamin in December of 1995. Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, Dino, Barney, Betty and Great Gazoo are all the current shapes.
