A tradeshow is a type of convention at which companies show and compare products and ideas, often using elaborate displays, receptions, presentations and giveaways. However, maybe you don't feel that the expense of a tradeshow is warranted. There are online tradeshows where you can exhibit your new invention for free or for a minimal charge.
