In 1899, after Wilbur Wright had written a letter of request to the Smithsonian Institution for information about flight experiments, the Wright Brothers designed their first aircraft: a small, biplane glider flown as a kite to test their solution for controlling the craft by wing warping. That was the beginning, the Wright Brothers went on to invent the first true airplane.

These inventors are great. I love their invention. It helps alot.
“That was the beginning, the Wright Brothers went on to invent the first true airplane.”
Actually this is false. The Wright Brothers were one of maybe a dozen or so other aspiring flight-makers. The Wright Brothers were just the first to rush to the patent office and receive a government granted monopoly on “flying-machines.”
Also, Mary, please email me I feel you are misguided in intellectual property.
