(1) Dan H. says:

Edison, definitely. I know that he didn’t personally really invent the 1093 devices that he received patents for, but the truth remains that he invented the process of inventing. He invented the R&D department.

(2) R Bergmann says:

Nickola Tesla received the short shrift again. Maybe after the cameo in “The Prestige” (even though depicted in a fictitious endeavour). people will begin to ask who this was and then to recognize the real contributions that he made in AC power, wireless communications and now the “new” discoveries in wireless power (can anyone say Wardenclyff?).

(3) K.Brown says:

Ref.to Dan. H. comments, putting forward Edison as a great inventor probably needs a little more homework. Where as, R. Bergman put forward Nickola Tesla. I would like to add that Tesla was one of the greatest 19th. & 20th. Cent. inventors, and Dan. H. – don’t forget The ‘Turbine’! Also very probably (if it was not for a certain J.P. ****** Bank, the whole World would probably now be enjoying virtually FREE Electricity. The man was a Genious.

(4) K. Brown says:

Hi, was upset by your Ref: (7) to Marconi in( 10 things you didn’t know about Wireless..). The fact is that Nickola Tesla invented ‘WIRE – LESS’ communication (Marconi was a very good salesman). Tesla has been awarded this Patent. At that time it would most probably not have been viable. As Tesla has been given the Patent as the inventor, ‘he would know’! ‘Promised’ projections at that time, would not be a ‘Realite! Now it is frighteningly (or not) as u c it a ‘Realite’.
