Six-Year Old Invents

I guess you are never too young to invent.  A point proven by six-year old Peh Yong who invented a cooling umbrella designed to be used in hot weather. According to the Singapore newspaper The Strait Times, Peh Yong's invention imitates the transpiration process of plants using a combination of a water container, plastic straws and threads. Water vapor that evaporates from the water container is released through holes in the straws which line the structure of the umbrella. The kindergarten pupil received an Encouragement Award in the defense science section at the recent Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Awards.

Have you had the idea of starting a message board
on this web-site instead of just writing a post like this?
That may possibly give the platform for more people to chip in their suggestions as well, what do you think?
