
The Microsoft Imagine Cup is a student technology competition that provides an opportunity for students to use their creativity, passion, and knowledge of technology to help solve global challenges, while competing for cash and prizes.
Now in its tenth year, 358,000 students representing 183 countries and regions registered for the Imagine Cup 2011 Competition.
Get Onboard for Imagine Cup 2012
Students are tasked to apply their imagination and passion to create technology solutions aligned to the Imagine Cup 2012 Theme. Combat diseases, improve education, ensure environmental sustainability, create disaster communication systems, help all children read and write, create innovations for people with disabilities, or reduce child mortality.
And there is money available. Microsoft announced a 3 million dollar grant program for the next 3 years to help Imagine Cup teams.
