I came across the following blog at helablog that turned my stomach and got me thinking. Why the hell would anybody want to invent live fish and turtle key chains? Just when did animal abuse become a wearable accessory? The answer sadly has to be the profit motive. The anything for a buck attitude. You can read the full blog entry for yourselves that goes into the technical details of these hideous things, and see photos of a live turtle in a key chain (mine is of a wild turtle).
On a brighter note, this got me thinking about business ethics in general and an inventor's code of honor in particular. I would really like you, my readers to answer the following question, What kind of business ethics should an inventor have?
BTW It goes without saying do not buy cruelty on a key chain. Photo Credit: Jeremy Woodhouse/Getty Images
