In the 2006 film called V For Vendetta, the anarchist revolutionary V always wore a stylized Guy Fawkes mask. While it seems that now the rest of the world is wearing that same mask. It's everywhere.
According to a recent New York Times article, the stark-white mask, with a upturned mustache and dagger-thin goatee, was worn by V, the faceless leader in V for Vendetta, who overthrows a future totalitarian society. The anti-establishment message has been embraced by the Wall Street occupiers. It is expected that this 2011 Halloween will be flooded with the mask, both because revelers are buying the masks like hotcakes and OWS protestors are planning on joining in the annual Greenwich Village Halloween parade.
