In the news recently - a California inventor Gregg Homer, founder of Stroma Medical says he has developed a new 20-second laser procedure that will turn brown eyes blue, without damaging vision, for around $5,000. The process, Homer claims, is possible because all brown eyes have a blue layer under their dark iris pigment, and his laser procedure will remove the dark pigment leaving eyes a lighter and more blue color. And Homer suggests that blue eyes give a clearer window into the soul.
Now don't get me wrong I have naturally blue eyes, and I like my eyes. However, I found Doctor Homer's comment about blue eyes being a clearer window into the soul a bit unthinking and some people could take offense. In the second video on this page he makes the comment.

The world has enough with “blue-eyed” people in every corner. We do not need more.
I think everyone is the owner of his life and have the rigth to decide what to do with it. NO one should to criticize the others goals ’cause his own interest. If I the human being will only works in the most important issues, we would be still living in the caverns trying to solve the food needs for the whole humanity.
On the other hand, I suspect thouse people here who criticize is because they are blue-eyed and wants to be the only one. PRIDE and SELFISNESS are worse than vanity.

I think we are all missing the point here.
Its another step forwards into Eye Care.
Thease discoveries lead into further May i use “eye openers”on going research which is much needed. Hopefully one day the surgeons will be able to replace sets of eyes for those whom donot have any.
Rather than run thease special people Down? lets applaud them and keep them on the right tracks.
