Larry wrote to me commenting that he felt I had underplayed Edwin Armstrong as being the inventor of FM radio when as Larry goes on to say, "he was also responsible for two other major radio-related inventions that are even more important: regenerative amplification which allowed radios to receive signals thousands of times weaker than before, and the superhetrodyne tuner, which made radios much more selective and therefore able to better reject unwanted transmissions close in frequency to the desired one."
I agree with you Larry on the importance of Edwin Armstrong, however, the article in question was not concentrating on any one inventor in particular and did I did link to a page on Edwin Armstrong with more information. Photo Credit: LOC
