In Italy if you ask for Pepperoni Pizza, you receive a plain pizza with peppers on top… and nothing else.
Yes, because the italian word for peppers is “Peperoni”.
What is commonly called pepperoni in english, it ‘s “salame”, or better “salamino” in italian language…
