Hilario Lara:
Doctor Hilario Lara is a medical researcher and public health specialist who has studied the spread of cholera, typhoid fever, dysentery, measles and diphtheria resulting in the prevention of those diseases in the Phillipines. Hilario Lara also established the Institute of Public Health at the University of the Philippines and helped establish the National Research Council of the Philippines.
