Fireworks - How Big and How High

Researched and Designed by Ghergich & Co. http://ghergich.com
When a firework explodes, two things have to happen; the shell has to reach its intended height and then it has to be exploded at that height. The shell is placed in a tube called a mortar and a fused gunpowder charge under the shell propels the shell into the sky. There is another fuse attached to the shell called a time delayed fuse, and this fuse ignites the stars inside the shell after the shell is propelled into the sky.

How the stars are arranged inside the shell and how many there are determines the size and shape of the actual fireworks explosion.
