Above is an example of a photograph used in lieu of a drawing for a plant patent. Today, photographs are very commonly used for plant patent applications. The above example is a B&W photocopy of the original color photographs submitted. Below you will find the "BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS" written by the inventor that was part of the plant patent application and now part of the issued patent.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS

The accompanying colored photographs illustrate the overall appearance of the new cultivar, showing the colors as true as it is reasonably possible to obtain in colored reproductions of this type. Colors in the photographs may differ slightly from the color values cited in the detailed botanical description which accurately describe the colors of the new Impatiens.

The photograph at the top of the sheet comprises a side perspective view of a flowering plant of 'Didi Salmon Two'.

The photograph at the bottom of the sheet is close-up view of typical flowers and leaves of 'Didi Salmon Two'.
