Tallest Man by Guinness World Records

World's tallest man Bao Xishun shakes hands with 19-year-old He Pingping contending for the world's shortest man, who only measures 73 centimeters (about 2.4 ft), at a press conference of the two men on July 13, 2007 in Baotou of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northern China. The 54-year-old Bao, who stands at 2.36m (7ft 8.95in) tall, registered marriage with Xia Shujian, a 29-year-old saleswoman from his home city Chifeng of Inner Mongolia Region on March 26, 2007. Bao was confirmed as the world's tallest living man by Guinness World Records last year. He Pingping, also born in Inner Mongolia, is applying for the Guinness World Record as the world's shortest man.
