Lessons Learned
- When you are in concept and development stages it is very hard to get people to see and understand your vision; it is equally as difficult to get manufacturers to veer off the beaten path to assist you in manufacturing your product.
- The level of uncertainty and fear of the new is very obvious and they generally want product assurance paperwork from you (depending what your product is) FDA or whatever governing agency grants approvals. This requires a lot of time and money to satisfy these needs, the list sometimes seems endless.
- Make the product as real and detailed as possible so that people can see your vision
Are You Seeking Funding or Business Partners?
Funding is always needed, even when you do close on licensing deals and secure contracts to sell your product, funds are always needed because the cost for artwork, materials, research, samples, prototypes and everyday operations are needed.
Business partners are always helpful too.
