Who Are You?

Hello everyone, a pleasure to be here.

My name is Adnan Hammad, a resident of NJ for the past 40 years.

Ever since I was a young man, I fell in the category of people who had the belief of " there's got to be a better way to do this". My current patented invention, the "Pick n' Bag Leaf Cart", definitely is in line with that belief.

I have one prior US patent listed under the name "Personal Hygiene device" ,

At What Stage of Completion is Your Invention?

Patent issued. Crude, but working prototype.

It's called " The Pick n' Bag Leaf Cart".

I have built this crude prototype with my son at the family home, and the metal frame was done at a machine shop. Old parts from an old Sears Craftsman sweeper was used for the frontal brush as shown, and also the two new looking wheels. The other 2 wheels I found in a very old unit, thrown away in back of a fire department building in Kinnelon, NJ.

The prototype has all the components needed to do job, but as you will see, a lot remains to be done. Like, leaves fall through the "gaps", from the top of the conveyor belt, the sides, and even right after the brush. all these gaps will not be there when streamlined.

The initial model will be manual, and would include- not in this design- a compacter that's easy to use, also a mulcher might be included in the non motorized model.

The motorized unit will have of course the basics of leaf and debris picking, but will have options.

Self propelled, stronger more efficient mulcher, and more. All models will have bigger wheels and swivel back wheels for ease of maneuverability.

Not in production, seeking a manufacturer with a wide market reach, for licensing.

Lessons Learned

• Well, as any person delving into the invention arena knows that the saying " It takes money to make money" is definitely true.
• Aside from spending for a thorough search and lawyer fees to secure a patent, the uphill battle comes next, which does require more expenditures. Case in point, you need a GOOD prototype to present to the world, and in my idea, that would be a hefty cost to accomplish, but I'm working on it. You will see my "home made" prototype in action, but really leaves a lot to be desired, as I indicate everywhere I list it - YouTube, FaceBook and NewIdeaTrade.com.

Are You Seeking Funding or Business Partners?

I am seeking a manufacturing company (sent to 30) to partner with as a licensee.

A business partner/investor with the capability to market this product, nationwide, through a wide distribution system to capitalize on the idea's potential in the US and maybe overseas.

Who Would Want Your Invention?

Most home owners with small to medium size properties.

Total detached homes in this country is about 100 million, not to mention overseas.

Describe Your Invention or New Idea

A light weight platform sitting on 4 wheels having a reverse rotating frontal brush (not vacuum), that picks up leaves and lawn debris, throws it onto and inclined conveyor belt, that drops it into 1 or 2 open mouthed STANDARD paper bags.

REPLACES, the raking AND bagging process.
