Wrong invention - wrong person!
- Cotton Gin was invented in India!! The Ajanta caves of India yield evidence of a single roller cotton gin in use by the 5th century. This cotton gin was used in India until innovations were made in form of foot powered gins. The cotton gin was invented in India as a mechanical device known as charkhi, more technically the "wooden-worm-worked roller". This mechanical device was, in some parts of India, driven by water power

Albert Einstein/Nikola Tesal
- These two are the foundation of the 20th, 21th century and beyond for some reasons I can say and for some I can't at this time. Tesla and Einstein were at times birds of a feather. Einstein is the father of modern physics and would calculate some of the most amazing concepts that are in use to day; Tesla would actually go out and build them and test them from scratch, a practical application theorist so to speak. Unified Field Theory" is where these two great minds/inventors meet, setting the stage for some very amazing things! Keep an eye out. This Next Gen era is akin to the industrial revolution; good stuff!

The Black Edison
- Gotta give it up to my man Granville T. Woods Wood's first patent (3 Jun 1884) was for a locomotive steam boiler. He started the Woods Electric Company, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to commercially develop a variety of electrical devices. In 1887 he patented his Synchronous Multiplex Railway Telegraph, which enabled moving railway trains to maintain communications links thus avoiding accidents. His other patents included a telephone transmitter, an electric railway, an electric incubator for hatching chickens (1900) and an important safety device - an automatic air-brake for railroad use (10 Jun 1902)

Tesla, Siemens
- Agree with Chuck. Nikola Tesla's contribution to modern technology is immense. Also Richard Trevithick for the steam locomotive, Werner von Siemens for his work on electric traction and William Shockley, the 'father of the transistor'.
