THE BEST PERSON

I think that the best inventor is THOMAS ADAMS because he invented the bubblegum which makes my mouth water. I also think that this invention, even though by serendipity was really amazing!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Tesla, Siemens

Agree with Chuck. Nikola Tesla's contribution to modern technology is immense. Also Richard Trevithick for the steam locomotive, Werner von Siemens for his work on electric traction and William Shockley, the 'father of the transistor'.

He didn't believe in patents or political parties based on people rather that ideas. He said both were bad for society. He was right on both counts.

Charles Proteus Steinmetz

Steinmetz is the father of modern AC. He developed the theories of hysteresis which were key in development of electric motors and transformers. He was also known as the wizard of Menlo Park.

Leonardo Davinchi

It goes without saying that he should be up there.

Nikola Tesla

Based on the inventions/developments and their impact on modern technology and culture Tesla is, at least in my opinion, vastly superior to Edison. Tesla is probably the least recognized and most downplayed inventor despite having come up with some of the most significant inventions. Much of his work has also formed the foundation for several popular modern technologies such as lasers and cell phones.
