What gadget can you not live without? Or what invention do you think made the greatest impact on history? And Why?

The best is ...

telephone or light bulb. The telephone is made from Alexander Graham Bell. The light bulb is made from Thomas Edison

Microscopes. And the wheel.

The wheel made just about all of this possible, which is why the wheel is the greatest; but the microscope (and by extension the telescope) has lead to hundreds of discoveries that have saved lives and harmed them, uncovered many of the 'secrets' of life, such as how it begins with a single egg, how infection begins and how we can stop it. If microscopes had never been invented and the things they've shown proven, more than half of the information in your science textbooks would simply disappear. (Unless your studying Earth Science. In which case, I empathize with you.)

Toilet

Toilet, without it, we would contaminate and pollute every corner of the earth which would lead to an untimely death.

Authomobiles.I would rather say that the invention of Autgomobiles is the most intriguing invention of the century.I said this cos Authomobiles have added the movement of both man and agricultural produce, including finished goods, without which will have a drastic effect on the worlds' economy.

man

I think the best invention is agriculture. It has allowed humans to develop complex systems, whilst feeding our selfs. If we still had to hunt and gather with the seasons, we would not have time for anything else.

Printer

the printing press made an explosion of information; By duplicating pages thousands of times faster then the hand written page it, allowed more information to be distributed to more people. world history proves this The world technology was stagnent for thousands of years beforethe printing press, and technology exploded after the printing press. The progress the world has achieved sence would be impossible if all information had to be transfered by hand written messages.
