- use of atom bomb is bad .nature has took thousands of years to create our world. we are not supposed to lose it in minutes due to this demon . if an atom bomb falls on the hands of terrorists in no time the fate of earth would be changed . we should not leave our future generations in a atomic age .

It had to be done
- Do I think children being born with six fingers sucks? Yes. Do I think having higher incidences of congenital diseases sucks? Yes. But, it was worth it. Those bombs didn't only save American lives, they saved Japanese lives too. A conventional invasion of the mainland would have cost tens of millions of lives on both sides - as calculations time and time again have borne out. When your countrymen are handing sharpened bamboo sticks to old women and children instructing them how to "kill round eye," when their Emperor was God on Earth - who they would have laid down their lives for without a second thought - and when Iwo Jima (a much smaller and less defended island) had been a bloody enough battle as it was there was just no other way. Even AFTER THE FIRST BOMB HAD BEEN DROPPED, they wouldn't surrender. Wars like that fought against Japan are the exact reason this world needs nuclear weapons, and will continue to need them until there are no longer wars at all.

- the atom bomb was needed but I think the scientists who developed the technology made a mistake in doing so as a science lover myself i can appreciate the need and WANT to understand things around me and to develop new things. all i am saying is that when they figured out how they should have thought more about what would happen with the new infrormation esp. considering humanities tendancies to engage in WARS. unless everyone believes the same thing then wars will happen. most do because one side oppresses people and the other side considers that immoral. America needs nukes today b/c every other major player in the world has them too and it keeps the power balance more equal at least to have them. should we use them is another thought entirely!
