get over it!

Get over it. I'm third generation American and my grandad from Japan says that he was brain washed and rather keep the scar on his back than fight us for years on end and die for the currupted emporer/ government. Now if ok with that then why aren't you people. for all the kids who are live in California like, if your not some what Japanese then leave the americans alone.

truly awful

Nuclear weapons are the only weapons that can destroy our wonderful world....I think we should have never used the nukes in the first place...Japan was already in ruins, we basically kicked them when they were already down. The people on the this website saying "YEAH lets nuke everyone"--you are the reason the world is in such a terrible place right now. I love the world, lets not destroy it.

1 bomb for 1,000,000 lives saved

If we didn't do this we would fight with other bombs for much longer and both sides would die.

Good

The Atomic bomb was good..........................................................................................................

For Against

In reading most of the blogs, I currently conclude that few understand (including myself) how we can justify taking a life to offset the balance or scale of life to claim a victory. If through our error free reasoning there is justification in doing so then does it matter how we kill (conventional or nuc)? Does how a life is taken justify the method? I pray that the use of nuclear bombs (for example Littleboy-Hiroshima and Fatboy-Nagasaki) to end a war and for any reason will never be repeated.

GGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD!

It is good =) atomic explosions are amazing and just down right sick!!!!!!!!
—Guest ATOMIC BOMB BITCH

An evil good

The atomic bomb is evil, but good. We told the Japanese that we would use the Bombs against them. They had warnings, but the Japanese refused to surrender, therefore to protect ourselves from further destruction, we had to prove to the Japanese that we are showing kindness. The Japanese got what they deserved for refusing to cooperate with us. They had a chance, but refused. Yes innocents died, but that was the Japanese'es fault!!! THEY killed their own citizens, for refusing to surrender beforehand. So all you people saying it was wrong, it might have been in a sense, but don't for one second think we were wrong for doing what we did, because we showed kindness by giving them a warning and a second chance. Good Job america, As long as you dont START the wars, Unless Necassary, I approve.

Aboout YOU

Hello, there are more kill efficient weapons that nukes. there are more better and optimal energy providers that nuke reactor. So, YOU should think and start talk about OUR future as humans and not animals. But then again, humans are obsolete. WE FAIL A LOT.

War is good

Nuclear weapons should be kept in case russia or someone attacks us.Then we can bomb the hell outa them

Think about it...

Nuclear bombs are catastrophic to the environment most of all. If one-hundred nuclear bombs are detonated within that short of an interval it would tear a hole in the ozone large enough that the whole world would suffer the repercussions. There is a lot of condemning of the United States on this forum from people who know very little. While it is true the US was the first to use nuclear fission as a weapon, the US was not the first to attempt it. Furthermore the US has the largest stockpile of nuclear warheads but has aimed on reducing that number to almost half by 2012. The US is taking the steps necessary to improve upon this situation as to where other countries such as Iran and North Korea are still producing nuclear weapons and worst of all - testing them. As an infantryman I am the first to condemn the use of nuclear arms in a war. I certainly don't want to be exposed to gamma rays or radiation poisoning. But most of all I want my children to be able to live a long happy life.

Yes..we need it.

Nukes is important to stop any war. Japan pay the price due to its arrogant and its immortal attitude. They thought they cant be defeated by anyone. Today, nukes needed to warn certain countries or societies that try to use religion to control, discriminate, oppress others . They used religion and become extremist and terrorist to kill innocent people around the world. Certain countries support their action and nukes needed to stop this despicable 'beast' terrorist act. I heard people condemn the US as acting as "World Police" but I support them. Its nothing wrong to be a "Police".If not others will already started World War III.

NO WAR

I feel the same about Nuclear weapons as I do about war in general. What the hell are we doing having any war on this planet? War is just another way Greedy banks use the citizens of the Earth as canon fodder to line their pockets with filthy cash. I say take all the leaders of the world into space and show them what they are destroying. Anyone who thinks war is good or viable is far less intelligent than the clowns in charge who allow it to happen. Peace is a far off notion due to the many personalities in charge of our various countries, not to mention the promise of cash and dominance offered to the lesser nations by the banks of the so called "free world". I say make the world a weapons of mass destruction free zone starting with America. I find it hard to fathom how the one country making people accountable for WMDs is one of the largest producers of such filthy disgusting weapons. The only reason the USA knows who has WMDs is simple. They more than likely sold it to them. PEACE

On another note

All you americans are inflated air-heads who think that your country is the absolute greatest in the world. The Australian population is 22million while yours is 310million yet somehow each citizen is worth $35 and you're all only worth $5 each! USA: $1.4trillion/310million citizens= $4.50 Australia $800billion/22million=$35 What does this reveal? It shows you are desperately poor losers who can't afford your own land so instead you bomb someone else and take!

War is good

Conventional warfare is good if you remove the nuclear weapons. War removes a large mass of population, thus stopping us from having a situation like that depicted in Soylent Green. The problem with nuclear weapons though is that not only do you kill people, you remove land for a certain period, making it worthless for survivors to colonize.
