nukes, well, when everyone gives theres up we should give ours up too, until then we need to keep them or non-democratic countries will r a p e us. as for japan, we told the we would blow up their cities, they knew about the atom bomb, they were researching their own for god sakes. it was kill 100,000+ of them, or lose 1,000,000+ of our own citizens invading their heavily defended fanatic filled island. if we had to do it all again, we'd not have stopped with 2 cities.

Maybe it was needed back then, but it caused untold damage; both on the days of August 6 and August 9, but for years after with the radiation and such. I think using it again would be unwise, but it was nessecary at that point.

The alternative was to go ahead with Operation Coronet, which would have resulted in the destruction of Japan. Thus, we were forced to use the bomb. However, I now think that that was the only time we had had HAD to use it and that we should never EVER use a nucleic, erm, sorry, nuclear weapon again! We got along fine with conventional bombs before, no?

the point is who wins when you fire the atomic bomb which I don't think sort anyone out. Simply to say any nation who uses the bomb first will be wiped out of the face of the earth (hopefully) if the rest of hıumanity survives. Then atomic weapons are no more than a suicide, an the tragedy is when you are killing yourself you are taking billions of innocent lives together. Anyone thinking even the possesion of atomic bombs should be sick if not mad

I am a filipino i didnt experienced it but here in Philippines in the time of WW2 they said it was hard, Japanese soldiers raped women, the people suffered of thirst, hunger, pain and death.
